Kalyn 10-11 weeks

Smiley :). She loves to kick and play now. She's going to be a very active baby once she learns to crawl!

Our first trip to the lake. It was a little too hot so we had to keep her in the shade and splash some water on her to keep her cool in just her diaper.

Look, my new rug :)! Thanks to Marika's dental assistant Kalyn has a cozy rug to play on instead of our hard cement floor or the not-so-soft carpet upstairs.

Kalyn 8-9 weeks old

Kalyn at her 2 month well baby visit. Long and slender. She is in the 85 percentile for height and 25 percentile for weight. She's healthy, happy, and growing like a weed. She's now ten pounds and 2 feet tall!
"Mom, please don't make me go get my shots!!" This was pre-immunization shots. She did pretty well with her shots but screamed a bit. She really did much better with her shots than she did when the Dr tried to look in her ears a couple days later to make sure she didn't have a little ear infection. I had no idea she had such lungs on her, but she sure used every bit of her lungs to let us know she didn't like having her head held still for the Dr.

Kalyn's no longer swallowed up when she sits in her bouncy seat which she now enjoys and will sit in with us while we eat dinner some nights.

Kalyn's first real time going out to dinner was with Mom, Dad, Marika, Jerry, and Grandma at the Gristmill in Gruene,TX. It was an early celebration of mother's day for Grandma since she was in town visiting.
Believe it or not it was chilly so Aunt Marika bundled Kalyn up in her jacket. The TX heat is about to set in for summer.

Bathtime has become one of Kalyn's favorite events of the day. She loves the water.

Her new favorite position to nap is on her tummy and sometimes with her butt in the air. She has started to sleep through the night since exactly 8 weeks. Three nights in a row now she's slept for 5-7 hours. I woke up and had to check on her just so I knew she was okay, and she was just sleeping away. Unbelievable! We are hoping it continues!
