Kalyn has always loved corn but tonight when she saw Dan and I eating it off the cob she insisted that's how she had to eat it too. Amazingly enough she was quite successful!

Kalyn 15 Months
A breakfast of apples and pancakes on her favorite purple monkey plate. As Kalyn becomes more independent with her eating (to include occassional and stubborn use of utensils) it's become a much messier and entertaining event.
The two pictures above are Kalyn doing the motions to "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands....If your happy and you know it your face will surely show it...." For a week she walked around smiling an putting her fingers on her cheeks and finally I asked the daycare the song of the week and it explained the super cute antics. :)
It's too hot to play outside all the time in TX summer heat so we brought the slide inside.
Kalyn is very adventuresome at the water park and has learned to navigate the rope bridge enterance to this particular kiddie slide, which mom is thankful for since adult sized people don't fit very well in the slide enterance.
Kalyn LOVES to play with the kittens and is learning to be gentle or that the result is getting scratched. She thought it was hilarious to watch Nemo play with the blind stings. The second video is just her feeding Dad corn, which she has decided it's fun to share her food when she doesn't want to eat it herself. Either that or she's learned she has quite an arm on her and loves to throw it...we're working on that one!

Kalyn 14 Months
Kalyn loves to play outside, which is good -- lots of space to run around!
She also LOVES to put on Mom's running shoes. A pretty cute yet clumsy sight!

Growing up so fast. We went to a Birthday party for Hannah a few months younger and the difference in development a few months a part is huge.

Kalyn 13.5 mo kicking her ball
Kalyn learned how to kick her ball this weekend. She was watching mom and decided it looked like fun. She's learning a ton of new stuff each day it seems. She started signing more please fairly consistently when she wants more food. She'll go to the fridge and sign milk when she's thirsty. One of her favorite things to do now is throw away her own diaper when she's done having hers changed and she will actually go to where her diapers are if we ask her if she needs a new diaper, then I'll hand her a diaper and she goes and lays down on the floor. She's stubborn and loves to climb. She's discovered how to climb onto the dining room chairs, then the dining table and then she likes to stand up -- dangerous! She could be a tester for babyproofing!! Okay, I'll post more pictures tomorrow. This video took awhile to upload but it's pretty cute.
